Dentures
Our dentures are of the highest quality and through careful planning and meticulous processing provide the patient with a very natural and comfortable denture. Our technicians are trained in correct tooth positioning, denture design, custom tooth staining and coloured gum pigmentation. We offer both Acrylic and Porcelain teeth which can be individually customised to create a more natural appearance.
Implants
Implant retained dentures greatly aid the function and stability to the denture wearer. This treatment, although more expensive, provides greater flexibility to the denture wearer by allowing the patient to remove and clean both the denture and implants effectively, helping to maintain healthy gums.
Crown & Bridgework
Our crown department is headed by ceramist Anja Schulze, Anja is of German nationality and moved to Britain in 2003. In May 2005 she joined Ayr Dental and has gained an excellent reputation for her work. We offer a full range of porcelain, zirconia, metal, titanium and implant solutions and through partnered laboratories provide a full Cad Cam service.
Precision Attachments
Shade Taking
On request we can take a detailed shade of the patient's teeth. We may require the patient to visit again for shade check(s) to make sure the shade is right. To get the best results the shade taking is done in the Lab's own clinical room under natural lighting.
We are experienced in combination restorations and this treatment can provide many more different solutions, thus allowing us to bring together different dental disciplines. Theses cases can be more challenging, but shows how a specialist team can work together in providing more complex but beautifully designed replacements.
Denture Repairs
We can repair dentures with clean breaks, cracks and teeth broken off providing that no parts are missing. If dentures have been glued incorrectly we can only repair to the position it has been glued to. We recommend not to attempt gluing as it attacks the surface of the Acrylic and could thus change the fit of the denture.
If single standing tooth has broken off and is missing we need an impression taken with the denture in place (done by your dentist).
Please try to clean dentures as best as you can before you come in.
All repairs take about 2 hours to be done.
